Chapter 54: The Book of the Beginning of Creaton
Hadeeth 1348:

“Narrated Imran bin Husain:
The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, “There was nothing but Allah, and His throne was over the water, and He wrote everything in the Book (in the Heaven) and created the Heavens and the Earth.” Then a man shouted, “Ibn Husain! Your she-camel has gone away!” So, I went away and could not see the she-camel because of the mirage. By Allah, I wished I had left that she-camel (but not that gathering).”
Here we learn a few important things: 1. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala’s throne is above water. How? We do not know, we accept it as it is authentic but do not question it. We also know from another narration that Shaytaan tries to imitate Allah ‘azza wal by placing his throne over water. Each night the shayateen gather together and Shaytaan asks them what they have done that day, and the one who is praised most is the one who is able to separate a man and his wife.
The biggest fitnah that shayateen enjoy making humans commit is marital discord, as the ayah in Suratul Baqarah:
“And follow that which the devils falsely related against the kingdom of Solomon. Solomon disbelieved not; but the devils disbelieved, teaching mankind magic and that which was revealed to the two angels in Babel, Harut and Marut. Nor did they (the two angels) teach it to anyone till they had said: We are only a temptation, therefore disbelieve not (in the guidance of Allah). And from these two (angles) people learn that by which they cause division between man and wife; but they injure thereby no-one save by Allah’s leave. And they learn that which harmeth them and profiteth them not. And surely they do know that he who trafficketh therein will have no (happy) portion in the Hereafter; and surely evil is the price for which they sell their souls, if they but knew.”
Hadeeth 1357
“Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, “If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel saying, ‘Allah loves so and-so; O Gabriel! Love him.’ Gabriel would love him and make an announcement amongst the inhabitants of the Heaven. ‘Allah loves so-and-so, therefore you should love him also,’ and so all the inhabitants of the Heaven would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth.”
These are all decrees from Allah, which is why this hadeeth is included in the book of creation. Also note that Allah’s love for people is because of the good that they do, not due to their celebrity status. Many times we love to attend speeches given by famous people, yet we neglect the weekly beneficial speeches of people who may not be as famous.
Hadeeth 1361:
“Narrated Abu Salama:
‘Aisha said that the Prophet said to her “O ‘Aisha’ This is Gabriel and he sends his (greetings) salutations to you.” ‘Aisha said, “Salutations (Greetings) to him, and Allah’s Mercy and Blessings be on him,” and addressing the Prophet she said, “You see what I don’t see.”
This hadeeth is very COOL! Aisha radiAllahu anha is blessed by having Angel Jibreel give salams to her, it also shows us that the angels give salams just as we do!
